Is there a place for Anonymity (temporary or permanent) in fiction presentation?

For example, 'Nemonymous' serves to provide an unique opportunity in the world of short fiction literature (of all times) for an author's work to appear in an anthology that has all its story author by-lines non-embedded in the work itself.

Fiction (outside Nemonymous) is the only art form with such a high degree of artist-name embedding; ie often on the spine, on the top of every alternate page, in the contents list and as part of the story's own in-body heading, plus back cover story-identification blurb etc.

In music, art, sculpture, film, architecture etc. anonymity is often the initial clean-palate approach before establishing the artist's name.
